My path to positive psychology coaching
My journey into positive psychology coaching grew from a deep interest in understanding what helps people thrive, not just survive. I became fascinated by the idea that well-being, resilience, and fulfilment can be intentionally cultivated rather than left to chance. After completing my BSc in Psychology at UCD in 2024, I experienced and witnessed periods of challenge, transition, and personal growth that highlighted the importance of mindset, emotional awareness, and meaningful connections.
I completed my MA in Positive Psychology and Coaching at UCC in 2025, and I saw first-hand how evidence-based positive psychology practices could help people build confidence, navigate setbacks, and create more satisfying lives. A defining moment was realising that many people spend so much energy fixing what’s wrong that they rarely have the opportunity to explore and strengthen what’s already right. Positive psychology offered a framework for helping individuals identify their strengths, develop optimism, and move toward goals that align with their values.

My unique coaching style
What makes my coaching style unique is the combination of evidence-based positive psychology principles with a practical, personalised approach. I focus not only on helping people achieve specific goals but also on building the mindset, habits, and resilience needed to sustain success over time. Rather than concentrating solely on problems or limitations, I help clients identify and leverage their strengths, clarify what truly matters to them, and create actionable strategies that align with their values. Every person is different, so I tailor the coaching process to each individual's needs, challenges, and aspirations. I create a supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can reflect, gain new perspectives, and develop greater self-awareness. Through thoughtful questioning, accountability, and positive psychology tools, I help people overcome obstacles, build confidence, and stay focused on meaningful progress.

The joy of client success
What I love most about coaching is when I see that "lightbulb" moment where a client suddenly realises either how far they have come or what the next actionable step is to achieve their goal. The truth is my goal is not to provide answers for my clients, but to empower them to discover their own solutions, unlock their potential, and create lasting positive change in both their personal and professional lives. This is in itself the most rewarding component of the profession.
